ܨܠܽܘܬܳܐ ܥܰܠ ܨܽܘܪ̈ܳܬܳܐ ܚܰܕ̈ܳܬܳܬܳܐ

الأسقف: أيها الربُّ، إلهُ الخليقةِ المعقولةِ والمحسوسة، يا صانعَ ما في السماء وما على الأرض وما تحت الأرض، يا من ملأتَ كُلَّ كنيستِكَ على مثالِ الأبكارِ المكتوبةِ أسماؤُهُم في البيعة السماوية، الذين يخدِمونَكَ وابنَكَ الوحيد وروحَك القدّوس؛ هَبْ أن تحلَّ يمينَكَ القويّةَ القادرةَ على كُلِّ شيء، على هذه الصورة وتبارِكَها وتقدِّسَها لعبادةِ اسمِكَ الكلّيِّ الإجلال، حتى ينالَ جميعُ الذين يدعونَكَ بإيمانٍ حقيقيٍّ ويسألونَ رحمتَكَ بقلبٍ طاهرٍ، طِلْباتِهم الحسنة ويقرّبوا نذورًا وبواكيرَ وقرابينَ، ويحظوا بالصحّةِ والشفاء، ويجدوا خلاصًا لنفوسهم.

أجل أيها الربُّ الإله، نطلبُ ونتضرّعُ إليك: تَمِّمْ كلمةَ فمِكَ وأنجِزْ وعدَ روحِكَ الكليِّ القداسة بأن تسكنَ وتفتقد َوتسريَ كلمةُ الإنجيلِ وتعتنيَ بكلِّ الأعمال والكلمات التي تُعمَل وتُقال باسمِ هذه الصورة؛ بنعمتِكَ ورحمةِ ابنِكَ الوحيد، ربِّنا وإلهِنا ومخلّصِنا يسوع المسيح، وبإحسانِه للبشر، الذي معه يليقُ بك المجد والوقارُ والولايةُ، مع روحِكَ القدّوس، الآن وكلَّ أوانٍ وإلى أبدِ الآبدين.

الشعب: آمين.

الأسقف: أيها الربُّ إلهُنا، بصلواتِ والدَتِكَ وجميعِ قدّيسيكَ وشهدائِكَ ورُسُلِكَ، ومار … (أو الشهيدِ …)، بارِكْ هذه الصورة التي رُسِمَتْ وأُنجِزَتْ على اسم القدّيس (أو القديسة)، لأنَّكَ مبارَكٌ مع أبيكَ وروحِكَ القدّوس الآن وكلّ أوانٍ وإلى الأبد. آمين.

ويمسح الصورة بزيتٍ، وليس بميرون، قائلاً:

باسم الآب آمين والابن آمين، والروح القدس، للحياة الأبدية. آمين.

A prayer on new icons that are donated to the church

Bishop: O Lord, God of the whole incorporeal and perceptible creation, the Maker of the heavenly hosts, the earthly beings and all that is under the earth, You have filled Your Church with the likeness of the first-born who are written in Your Heavenly Church and who minister to You with Your Holy Spirit. Grant, O Lord God, that Your powerful and omnipotent right hand may protect, bless and sanctify this icon for the adoration of Your Most Honored Name. May all those who call upon You in true faith and ask of Your compassion with a pure heart, receive their good requests and present to You first-fruits and oblations for obtaining health and healing and for attaining salvation of their souls.

We beseech You and make supplication to You to accomplish Your command and fulfill the promise of Your Most Holy Spirit so that the Gospel precept may dwell, operate, perfect and be diligent regarding every deed or word that is done or said in the name of this icon. We ask this favor by Your loving-kindness, the mercies and the philanthropy of Your Only-begotten Son, our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, with Whom befit You praise, honor and dominion with Your Holy Spirit, now, always and forever.

Bishop: O Lord our God, by the prayers of Your Mother and of all Your saints, martyrs, apostles and St. (N).

Here he anoints the icon with oil, not chrism, saying:

Prière de consécration des icônes et images

Evêque : O Seigneur, Dieu de toute création, spirituelle et sensible, Créateur des êtres célestes et terrestres, et de ce qui est sous la terre, Toi qui remplis toute l’Église, à l’image des premiers-nés qui sont inscrits dans l’Église céleste, qui Te servent Toi et Ton Fils Unique et Ton Esprit Saint; rends-nous dignes afin que Ta main droite forte et toute puissante ombrage cette image, la bénisse et la sanctifie pour l’adoration de Ton Nom très honorable. Ainsi tous ceux qui T’appellent avec la vraie foi et qui implo­rent Ta miséricorde avec un cœur pur recevront leurs bonnes requêtes. Ils offriront des vœux, des prémisses et des offrandes, et ils recevront bonne santé et guérison, et trouveront le salut pour leurs âmes.

En vérité, Seigneur, nous Te prions et Te supplions, réalise la parole de Ta bouche, accomplis la promesse de Ton Esprit très Saint, afin que la Parole de l’Évangile habite, agisse, coure et garde chaque action et paro­le qui sont faites et dites au nom de cette image, par la grâce, la bonté et la miséricorde de Ton Fils Unique, le Seigneur notre Dieu et Sauveur Jésus Christ, avec qui Te reviennent la gloire, l’honneur, la puissance, avec Ton Saint Esprit, maintenant et toujours et pour l’éternité.

Evêque : O Seigneur notre Dieu, par les prières de Ta Mère qui T’a engendré, de Tes saints, de Tes martyrs, de Tes apôtres et de Saint N…, bénis cette image qui au nom de Saint N…, a été faite et peinte, car Tu es béni, avec Ton Père et Ton Saint Esprit, maintenant, en tout temps et pour l’éternité.

L’évêque oint l’icône avec de l’huile sainte et non avec du Myron et dit :

Au nom du Père ; amen ; et du Fils ; amen ; et de l’Esprit Vivant et Saint, pour la Vie éternelle. Amen.
